Celebrate Halloween and encourage a love of books with the Reading Is a Treat – Free Halloween Reading Poster. This cheerful Halloween reading poster features a little bat enjoying a book above a smiling jack-o’-lantern filled with books, scrolls, and bookmarks. Its playful design brings a seasonal touch to classroom libraries and reading corners.
A Halloween Poster That Celebrates Reading
The poster displays the message “READING IS A TREAT” in large, rounded letters. A friendly bat holds an open book, surrounded by stars and a collection of reading materials tucked inside a pumpkin. Bright orange, purple, and green details give the full-color design a festive Halloween look without making it too spooky for younger children.
Display the poster near a classroom bookshelf, on a library bulletin board, or beside a seasonal book collection. It also works as a decoration for Halloween reading activities or an October reading challenge.
The PDF includes a black-and-white version with the same illustrations. Children can color the bat, pumpkin, books, and lettering to create their own Halloween reading display.
